Why choose Protolabs for your prototypes?
Did you know...
Protolabs provide consultative design services
Receive support from an experienced engineer who will help you get the best result for your project, at no extra charge. What's more the service will save your project time.
It’s the missing link between design and production that you’ve been waiting for.
If you’ve already got a quote and design for manufacturability analysis from us then try our new Consultative Design Service.
These are some of the companies who trust us and our services
“It has been very enlightening to us here at HP that we are able to get parts so rapidly out of the actual materials that we’re going to use in the final production.“
— J.D. Hankins, HP
We have a large team of qualified application engineers on hand. Through our Consultative Design Service, one of our expert application engineers will assist you with your part design. They will talk you through our feedback and work directly with you to better understand your needs, implementing the necessary changes to improve manufacturability and ensure your parts can be made to meet your requirements.
Within our own Digital Factories, we house a vast fleet of 3D Printing, CNC Machining and Injection Moulding machines across 1 million square feet of manufacturing space. We manufacture 4.6 million parts per month for more than 55,000 product developers, and thanks to our large manufacturing scale, we require no minimum order quantity, offer virtual inventory with no fees, and have the shortest lead times.
Knowing exactly where your parts are made brings peace of mind about quality, traceability and lead times. When you choose Protolabs' in-house manufacturing, all your prototypes will be manufactured in our European based Digital Factory. We have 12 manufacturing facilities across the globe, of which 2 are located in Europe. Across all of our facilities, we work with quality control measures that start the second your parts come out of our machines and continue all the way through to shipping without impacting delivery times.
We have wide selection of more than 100 thermoplastic and thermoset materials. And if you're looking for alternative material options, check out our guide to resin substitutes for ABS, PC, PP, and other commonly moulded plastics.
